The interspinalis are small narrow bundles of muscle placed in pairs between the |vertebrae| of the |spine|. They are attached above and below the |vertebrae|. There are six pairs in the cervical region. In the dorsal region, they are found between the first and second |vertebrae| and the eleventh and twelfth. There are four pairs in the lumbar region in the intervals between the five |lumbar vertebrae|.
